TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED IN ROSA PARKS-ROBERTSON-NATIONAL AREA

The Westside Council of Governments has released preliminary documents outlining proposed improvements where the eastbound I-10 Rosa Parks Freeway dumps onto Exposition Blvd.

The project area is near the planned Culver City station of the Expo light-rail line between Los Angeles and Santa Monica. It encompasses a "dysfunctional I-10 on-off ramp system and five major boulevards that come together in a weird geometrical configuration," according to a staff report.

Culver City has attained a $2 million federal grant for the redesign of the on-off ramps. The California and Los Angeles departments of transportation, Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Culver City have formed a group to work on the project.

Full details are available at the Westside Cities Council of Governments site, here.
