PALMS, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A.
Celebratory banners are brought to our neighborhood — and cookies, too

Above left, L.A. City Council Member Bill Rosendahl, with Mario Bruhwiler and Willie Bell of the Palms Neighborhood Council, helps unfold a banner while Palms Treasurer June LaMoy watches. Above right, Len Nguyen, field deputy for Rosendahl and the first president of the Palms Council, prepares everything for a photo op.

Bruhwiler, left, was in charge of the project. The design was by Neal James Anderberg.

Below, Terry Robinson, Billie Silvey, Nguyen, LaMoy, Palms President Pauline Stout, Rosendahl, Ingeborg Prochazka and Bell.

Afterward, cookies and coffee were provided by the Culver-Palms Church of Christ, which also hosted the photo op (March 3, 2007).
