ANAGRAMS
WHAT'S IN THE NAME OF PALMS'S STREETS?

Ovens, veins, venom and love
The Sun's editor had too much time on his hands over the Independence Day festivities and tried his hand at jumbling the letters in the names of some of our principal streets.

This is what he came up with, most of them involving traffic.

VENICE BOULEVARD
A curbed vile oven
(in the summer, we guess)
or
A curbed love vein or
A curbed love vine
(on your way to a date)
or
A bounced evil, Rev.
(when your car hits a pothole and the passenger is your minister)

SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD
Bravado? Dull peeve!
(you're trying to muscle out the other cars, but nobody is giving way)

MOTOR AVENUE
A venom route
(self-explanatory)
or
A true move? No!
or
Maneuver, too!
or
Auto? Never! Om!!!
or
Rena, move out!
or,
on a much more positive note,
Our neat move!

MIDVALE AVENUE
Ma! Devil avenue!
(kid riding on the back of his mother's bike as she turns onto the most poorly maintained street in Palms)

CHARNOCK DRIVE
(Draco is driving down the street with Conrad, Arch and Cad on their way to lunch at the Overland Cafe. Suddenly Cad sees something ahead.)
Cad:
Car! Honk, Draco!
Draco gives a blast.
Draco:
Car horn OK, Cad? OK, Conrad, Arch?
Cad, Conrad and Arch (together, in relief): An OK car chord!
They have a good lunch

If you have any more, send them in. We'd like to find one for Exposition Boulevard that doesn't involve S-E-X (or even a clever one that does).
