My roommate asked me to write a column for humans that will tell them about the new dog park in Culver City.
Well, it was OK. There were a lot of dogs there, and some of them were running around and playing with each other like a bunch of crazies. My roommate and I went into a fenced-off area that had a sign which said, "For small and shy dogs."
Personally, I think it should have been "For apartment-size and cautious dogs," but, then, I can't tell the Culver City folks what to do (like I CAN tell my roommate when to take me outside or feed me, for example).
One little black dog kept chasing a ball that his human tossed for him over and over and over and over and over (photo at right). What a wasted life. For my part, I sat on my roommate's lap and simply surveyed the scene: Now THAT is living!
You should be told how to get there, but I don't really know. If God had intended for us dogs to get by ourselves to the Culver City Dog Park, he would have given us driver's licenses, right?
But my roommate said he will put a map at the bottom of this column, and I hope he does without being growled at, because I feel a nap coming on. |
