stories to watch in 2007
The Palms Neighborhood Council will allocate $5,000 each to Charnock and Palms elementary school libraries.
A third developer wants to encroach on Jasmine Ave.'s open space this one at 3672, just north of Regent. A battle looms.
Congresswoman Jane Harman's office will facilitate a meeting to help improve local postal service and community relations with our letter carriers and counter workers.
Local people are planning a 'Taste of Palms' community celebration featuring our ethnic restaurants; one idea closing Motor Ave. and having a big party.
A traffic study is suggested for a four-way stop at Watseka and Regent.
And, of course, Palms will hold a community election in the spring to choose new leaders or keep its old ones.
