UCLA family housing between Keystone and Mentone,
with Venice Blvd. at the bottom right.
McDonald's at Overland (left) and Venice Blvd. (bottom),
before the widening of Overland.
The Venice-Crossroads mall, with Durango running at the left
of the photo and Venice crossing diagonally. The Ivy Substation and Media Park are in Palms but are leased by L.A. to Culver City for recreational and cultural uses. The Exposition right-of-way is north of the shopping center. The red line shows the L.A.-Culver City boundary.
The border between L.A. and Culver City takes a peculiar jog in the parking lot of St. Augustine School. The classroom building at the top right is in L.A. but the convent, left, and the church, bottom, are in Culver City. The boundary runs between the two blue-roofed buildings on the right Sony Child Care in L.A. and the Game Show Network in Culver City.
These are "the biggest dishes in town" all of them owned by the Globecast Co. at Mentone Ave. and Washington Blvd.
And this is "the sharpest corner in Palms," where St. Mary's Church occupies the corner of Watseka and Faris.
The Culver-Palms Church of Christ is on Delmas Terrace just north of Venice Blvd.
Sony Studios headquarters is not in Palms, but it makes a nice picture anyway. The L.A. border nicks across the top left corner of this photo; the sidewalk is in L.A. but the street is in Culver.
